The House..

I was reading a couple of people's blogs today, and I realised, that some people just can't stay put at home. They love doing things outside. They hang out in cafes to do their tutorials, go around Singapore after school and they stay out late and only come home to their room to sleep. How can one spend a whole day away from your room? Its like, your own personal space.

I'm so lazy to do my tutorials. Marketing tutorial is tomorrow. For the first few weeks, I religiously did all my tutorials. Now, I'm getting sick of it because tutorials doen't even get graded properly. The teacher just goes through it, and you copy the answers and don't really know whether your answers are correct or not. Great.

I feel like having another photoshoot this Wednesday, but then again, maybe not. Last week, I was so burnt out from having so many things to do, I couldn't even wake up in the morning. And when I did, my whole body would ache like crap. I got like what, 4 hours of sleep a day.

I gotta go now. I have to do my stupid tutorial. Bye.

The Photoshoot 2..

Okay I just had another photoshoot today with Shikin and Henna. Henna was the amazing photographer as usual, who captured all the awesome pictures. They looked really professional! I can't wait to see them. Shikin was also an amazing model, she knew how to take directions and use her body and pose like this and strut like that. Even though it was so humid outside, the shoot went well and the hair still stayed. But, I'm so shagged now from doing hair.

When I was doing hair inside the research carrel in the library (of all places), many girls and boys looked into the room and were being all nosy. They saw my hair tools spread out and knew I was doing hair, and they were like, shocked as hell. Then more people started walking by. When our booking ended and it was time to leave, Shikin heard the girls outside saying, "They doing hair la." Then when we left people stared at Shikin's head. Ha, free advertising.

Here are some of the pictures of today's photoshoot. I'd like to thank Shikin for being a good sport, it was great doing your hair. You helped me with the clips and everything. And I'd like to thank Henna to bits and pieces because your photography skills are amazing. You capture amazing photos and thanks for helping me clean up my tools!

The Shoot..

I've finally got started on my photoshoot series for my hair portfolio! All the pictures are going to go on to my website. Henna did some advertising for me on her blog, and many people asked for a website to see my work, and its so depressing to say I don't have one. So, today I called Puva to come to school in the morning to be one of my models. I straightened her hair out and gave her the simple day look, after which Henna was the photographer and shot her using her big ass pro camera. The shoot went pretty well, but it was a bit plain jane. Next time, I'm bringing in make up and costume, and an entire set.

I decided to buy a Rowenta Elite Model Curling Iron today, and its one of the best decisions I've made in my life. I love my new Philips Salonpro XL straightener too. It makes hair becomes so flowy and shiny. I got back my brown extensions from my client today, and as usual it became so frizzy and matted and rough from hairspray and man-handling. After straightening and re-curling using the tools, the curls became so big and bouncy like Jojo's hair. I fell in love, too bad it wasn't real.

Anyway here are some candids from today's photoshoot in the school library's research carrel room. Of all places, we had our shoot there. Here are the pictures. Don't mind my messy hair, I didn't bother combing it.

The Shoot

Me and Shikin mocking strangers.

What. Were we doing. Eh look my red VS straightener is at the back.

See I'm focused when it comes to hair okay.

I gotta go now. Bye.

The Investment..

I just collected two good-ass straighteners today. I was getting sick and tired of not being able to straighten people's hair properly. Everytime I use my old Philips straightener with only one temperature setting, the hair won't get straight unless it has already been rebonded. So, I went shopping on Yahoo! Auctions, and I bought a Philips Salonstraight Pro XL flat-iron and a VS Omega Wet-to-Dry flat iron. Both cost me $75 together. Pretty good price considering I'll be using them for a few years.

The VS straightener looks like a red and black weapon. The whole thing is made of a metallic sheen thing and it looks like it can combat any curl. The Philips one is more gentle and it makes hair flowing and it has big plates so its quick. Tomorrow my mom is going to bring me to this salon which is closing down at Bishan. They're selling all their stuff away. I'm a get me a new blowdryer!

I love buying new hair tools. Its like buying clothes, but better! Bye.

The Dialogue..

I have two words. Grow up. Get it in your head that life isn't a party. The world doesn't revolve around you and your little circle of friends. So stop outcasting other people, before they outcast you.

The Birthday..

My birthday is over and I'm seventeen now. This year, I thought it was going to be bleak and boring and I was just going to do some hair and earn cash, but it turned out alot better. People whom I thought wouldn't care about my brithday did, and some people whom I thought would care didn't even bother. This birthday was a real eye-opener. It touched my heart and made it bleed.

Henna called me right on the dot 12 am on 14 Nov to wish me, and I was not expecting anything at all because I was busy tearing out magazine articles on how to do prom updos for my hair appointment the next day. Thanks bitch! Then Charlotte and Diana wished me via sms, which I never thought they would do because they seem busy. Then right when I was about to tuck in Mai wished me. Then I went to sleep and woke up and my mother scolded me for using so much money on my business, so I was kind of angry, but then Nuriman wished me and it lightened my mood. Then I was already late, and when I went to class, a handful of my classmates wished me, which was really thoughtful since I thought they didn't give a damn. Then, I bumped into Neni and she wished me too and said that my hair was kental. Grr. Then I bumped into Diana and her friends and they all wished me one by one. I went to my hair appointment after school, and all my clients wished me too.

And then Rene and Dian were really nice they gave me a card! I saw it and I was all, "Omg REALLY?". And today they both gave me huge gifts and my eyes opened up really wide and I went, "OMG REALLY? This is too much!!". Thank you both so much for what you've done for my brithday you all made it really special. I haven't got a surprise gift like that in years, and it felt really nice getting one again. I can't thank you guys enough.

I just want to thank everyone who remembered for wishing me. Vindri, Kenneth, Aisha, Zameer, Adam, Sarah, Yuan Li, Sahara, and Puva thank you all for wishing me through friendster or sms I really appreciate that you all gave a thought. And to everyone whom I've mentioned in this post, thanks a lot, for making this year's birthday really special.

My hair business kicked off yesterday. It was fun doing what I love, and getting paid for it. I gotta go now. Bye!

The Business..

My business kicks off tomorrow. I'm really panicking now because alot of things aren't prepared yet. I just got back my extensions yesterday, and it became so matted and tangled from being flung around, its in dreadlocks. Now I have to detangle, condition, straighten and curl the entire bunch of extensions all over again. Its going to take freaking long especially since each curl needs 5 minutes to set. I haven't bought hairspray yet, and my black clips aren't here yet, and my new straightener only comes on Thursday, and my money is running out. And I also have to think about the photoshoots for my portfolio and getting my website up before the next prom period kicks in. Argh!

To top it all off, I have so many projects due next week. Tests are all popping up everywhere and I don't even have time to take a breathe.

I gotta go now. Bye.

The False Alarm..

Okay I'm not going to perm. The end result will be paper stiff curls. I hate stiff hair. Argh!

Okay I gotta go watch Pussycat Dolls on television. Bye.

The Enquiry..

Omg the stylists at the Kerastase salon at AMK hub said that they can perm waves for my hair length! I think I'm going to do it on my birthday. And perms can never look fake anyway curls are all natural. Maybe I'll keep the perm until its like touching shoulder and I'll soft rebond my fringe. Waves, here I come. I shall pray hard.

I can't leave my hair alone. My natural hair is just too weird. The back and crown is straight, and the fringe is curly. I'll be like Ashley Tisdale and keep doing my hair until I get sick of it.

I gotta go now. Bye.

The Potion..

I bought Sebastian's Potion 9 and it works like magic! I put it on when my hair was damp, and my hair became super soft like a fluffy pillow. Yay Sebastian's!

My mother told me not to perm. She said and I quote, "Later you'll look like a nigro then how". Now I don't know already. I went to this salon at AMK Hub and they have a soft waves thing. I might want to go to get rid of my stick straight ends.

I gotta go. Bye.

The Perm..

Omg I want to perm my crown. I was so sick of my confused hair which is like wavy then it suddenly becomes so stick straight. When I cut off my rebonded hair about 3 months ago, there was still a bit of rebonding at the crown, so its like stick straight. Now, the hair has grown and the rebonding isn't fading off. I thought of perming big curls at the crown and fringe, and the hair at the back is my own virgin waves. And heck, curls look a hundred times more natural than stick straight hair.

My mother rebonded her hair on impulse at some neighbourhood salon below my house, and the result is pretty alright. It looks like its her own natural straight hair. Lucky her she just goes into any random salon and gets the look she wants.

I gotta go now. Bye.

The Shag..

I feel so shagged! My timetable sucks and I keep missing classes because I oversleep, and now my attendance record is going down the tubes. I think next time I'll just camp out in school. Its only week 3 and my attendace is like close to debarment! I hate my timetable.

Yesterday there was Drama Night, and it was hell tiring standing from 1 pm to 7 pm doing hair after hair after hair, but it was fun because I got do many styles. I did Aisha's extensions and set her hair 30 minutes before showtime, which is like a world record for me since I usually take 2 hours! And I finally got to do my Victoria's Secret big hair! But it was humid outside so everything kinda fell apart. The plays were so funny especially the first and fourth one with the humping homosexuals wearing tube tops and the violent boyfriends and the hair-smelling. It was so funny I almost died. Ha!

Okay I gotta go now. Bye.
